Most nutritional supplements contain synthetic, inorganic forms of selenium. However, chemically organic selenium can be found in natural food products. The majority of dietary selenium comes in the form of selenomethionine. Selenomethionine has an absorption rate equal to approximately 90% and is better absorbed than inorganic forms. It can be stored in bodily proteins and therefore has a long retention time within the body.
Selenomethionine is a pure substance without unnecessary additives or hidden carrier materials. The filler, which is made of premium gum arabic grown without pesticides, is the only additive. Our gum arabic comes from sustainable, climate-neutral, resource-conserving and fair cultivation. This filler provides various nutrients and thus positively contributes to the overall benefits of this product.
For the capsule shells we use custom-made HPMC capsules that, unlike most other HPMC and pullulan capsules on the market, are 100% free from controversial additives such as carrageenans and PEG. We then package this product in environmentally friendly amber glass jars.
