Our natural rosehip extract is derived from whole, ripe rosehip (Rosa canina L.) fruits, which are harvested between August and September. The natural phytochemicals vary in different parts of the rosehip, so in order to preserve their natural ratio, the whole fruit with skin, pulp and seeds is processed to make this extract.
Embedded in a matrix of important rosehip polyphenols, a natural, vitamin C–rich extract is obtained from the whole fruit via a nutrient-preserving water extraction. No solvents are used in this process, so the extract does not contain any residues. The rosehips' natural vitamin C content is concentrated in a ratio of 10–12:1, which means that our extract has a particularly high vitamin C content of at least 20%. It is not uncommon for synthetically produced ascorbic acid to be added to rosehip extracts; however, our product is 100% natural – no unnecessary additives.
For the capsule shells we use custom-made HPMC capsules that, unlike most other HPMC and pullulan capsules on the market, are 100% free from controversial additives such as carrageenans and PEG. We then package this product in environmentally friendly amber glass.
