The wild ravintsara grows at an elevation of 800m, near the sea on the east coast of Madagascar. There, the seasonal temperature fluctuations which are characteristic of the oceanic climate, result in the formation of a high concentration of components within the plant. After the leaves have been harvested by hand, they are taken to the local distillery where they are processed via steam distillation in a stainless steel tank.

He owns mainly own as well as worldwide plantations with essential oil plants. The plants are mostly harvested sustainably by hand. The origin and high quality of the plants are very well documented. He extracts the essential oil by gentle steam distillation in a stainless steel tank.
Ravensara
Ravensara (Ravensara aromatica) belongs to the laurel family (Lauraceae). The evergreen tree is endemic to Madagascar, where it can be found in rainforests up to altitudes of 1300 metres. In Madagascar, the tree is also known as ‘Madagascar Clove’ or ‘Madagascar Clove Nutmeg’. It can grow up to 20 metres high and produces sturdy green leaves and small green flowers.
Note: The essential oils of Ravensara (Ravensara aromatica) and Ravintsara (Cinnamomum camphora) are not identical and come from different tree species.
Aroma
The spicy, fruity-sweet fragrance stimulates and grounds at the same time. The subtle menthol nuances have a refreshing effect and make it easier to breathe deeply.
