Directions
Take 2 capsules (150mg potassium and 75mg magnesium per capsule) with 200ml water daily.
Daily Requirements
The German Nutrition Society recommends a daily intake of 300 to 400mg magnesium (NRV: 375mg). However, the need for magnesium varies from person to person according to biochemical individuality and can be greatly increased in stressful situations.
Note: The Federal Office for Risk Assessment recommends not exceeding a maximum daily amount of 250mg magnesium in food supplements in order to avoid a laxative effect (mild diarrhoea). The maximum amount applies to people aged 4 and over. No maximum amount can be derived for small children under the age of 4 due to a lack of data. The Federal Office for Risk Assessment recommends distributing the daily dose over at least two intakes per day because in most of the studies used to derive the maximum amount, magnesium was taken in two or more portions per day and this presumably increases tolerability.
Our current high-sodium diet in particular promotes potassium deficiency. The intake recommendations for potassium have been increased from 2,000 to 4,000mg per day in recent years.
Contraindications
People with a potassium balance disorder, in particular kidney dysfunction, as well as people with heart disease, insulin deficiency or diabetes mellitus should consult a doctor before using products containing potassium.
Food Supplement
Do not exceed the recommended daily intake. Food supplements are not a substitute for a balanced, varied diet and healthy lifestyle. Keep out of reach of young children.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat.
