Daily Requirements
In Germany, the official daily requirement for iodine, as set by the German Nutrition Society (DGE), is 180–200µg. For comparison, the EU Nutrient Reference Value (NRV) is 150µg. An increased requirement for iodine exists during pregnancy and breastfeeding, with recommended daily intakes of 230–260µg.
The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) considers a long-term daily intake of up to 600µg of iodine to be safe for adults. For children, this upper limit is lower; for example, 250µg for those aged 4 to 6, and 300µg for children aged 7 to 10 per day.
Food Supplement
Do not exceed the recommended daily intake. Food supplements are not a substitute for a balanced, varied diet and healthy lifestyle. Keep out of reach of young children.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat.
