How are we different?

For the production of our genuinely liposomal, water-soluble ashwagandha, we use ashwagandha root extract. The raw materials and the clear water used are homogenised. We pay particular attention to achieving the ideal ratio of ashwagandha to phospholipids, the basis of which are sunflowers from Europe, as we have consciously decided against the use of soya lecithin. The size of the liposomes is well under 500nm, which represents the threshold for ideal stability and bioavailability in the digestive tract.

The product is stabilised with natural malic acid produced by fermentation, completely avoiding the use of citric acid. Bottling is carried out with the exclusion of oxygen, in light-protective and environmentally friendly amber glass instead of plastic.

Effects

Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera) is a plant from the nightshade family. The name comes from Sanskrit and roughly translates as "smell of horse," as the roots have a strong scent that is reminiscent of horses. The term "somnifera" comes from Latin and can be translated as "sleep inducing" (somnus = sleep, ferre = to bring), hence its nickname as the "sleeping berry." In this formula, the roots and leaves of the ashwagandha plant are used and not the berry, which is poisonous in large quantities due to its alkaloid content and has a very bitter taste. The roots and leaves contain withanolides, the most widely studied phytochemicals in ashwagandha. These belong to the group of steroidal lactones and are similar to steroid hormones in their chemical structure.

Dosage

Directions

Take 10ml (2 tsp) daily – in the evenings or just before sleeping – with water or fruit juice. Refrigerate for at least 24 hours before opening and keep refrigerated at all times thereafter. Consume within 8 weeks of opening. Shake well before each use.

Food Supplement

Do not exceed the recommended daily intake. Food supplements are not a substitute for a balanced, varied diet and healthy lifestyle. Keep out of reach of young children. Not suitable for those pregnant or breastfeeding or people with liver disease.

Storage

Keep out of reach of young children. Store unopened between +2°C and +21°C. Due to the natural origin of the raw materials, the taste, viscosity and colour may vary between batches. Sediment may form at the bottom of the bottle; this is natural and does not indicate a compromise in quality.
