Our Iron Complex Pro Vegan 22.5mg is based on the combination of two iron chelates plus vitamin C to improve iron absorption. It has been specially designed in its composition and dosage to meet the increased requirements of athletes.
According to the current state of research, iron bisglycinate is the iron compound with the highest bioavailability. Iron is bound as a chelate to the amino acid L-glycine and can be absorbed particularly well by the body in this form. Although glycine occurs naturally in nuts, soybeans and lentils, it cannot be isolated from them in large quantities, which is why we have opted for glycine or iron bisglycinate as a pure substance. It is suitable for vegetarians and vegans in this form.
Iron lactate is a very bioavailable chelate in which iron is bound to the salt of lactic acid (lactate). Contrary to what the name suggests, iron lactate is not obtained from milk and is therefore purely vegan. The iron compound is often used as a food additive (e.g., for coloring black olives) and is often found in baby food. The ferrous lactate for our Iron Complex Pro Vegan has a particularly high purity of at least 96%.
Our iron complex contains PureWay-C® to improve iron absorption. The premium vitamin C active ingredient has a special coating of plant-based fatty acids and a citrus bioflavonoid complex for significantly higher absorption, long-lasting retention and protection against oxidation. Only GMO-free maize is used as the raw material for the production of our quality vitamin C. This is processed into the special active ingredient PureWay-C® in an ultra-modern, innovative manufacturing process to the highest quality standards. The end result is highly concentrated vitamin C (at least 99.8% purity) that is completely maize-free, fructose-free and free from residues of chemical solvents.
This product has been tested free from selected doping substances within the scope of the Cologne List®. The Cologne List® is a doping prevention initiative which publishes products which have been independently tested for selected doping substances by a world-class laboratory in food supplement analysis. As a partner of the Cologne List®, we ensure greater transparency in a very heterogeneous market and support athletes, teams, clubs and associations in the assessment of these products.
For the capsule shells we use custom-made HPMC capsules that, unlike most other HPMC and pullulan capsules on the market, are 100% free from controversial additives such as carrageenans and PEG. We then package this product in environmentally friendly amber glass.
