How are we different?
Plant-based iron from Indian curry leaves provides a consistent 14mg per capsule. Sourced from sustainable cultivation without plant protection products, the iron is obtained via a gentle water-based extraction process, ensuring it remains entirely free from solvent residues such as n-hexane, methanol or acetone. Continuous laboratory testing verifies the iron content as well as the absence of heavy metals and plant protection products.
Natural vitamin C from acerola cherries is included to support iron absorption in the gut and maximise bioavailability. Our acerola powder is sourced from fruit grown in Brazil without plant protection products. Nutrient-preserving freeze-drying ensures a high vitamin C content of 30% within the natural fruit complex, requiring no extraction and remaining free from maltodextrin.
Raw materials are produced according to the highest standards of purity and quality in India and Brazil.
For the capsule shells we use custom-made HPMC capsules that, unlike most other HPMC and pullulan capsules on the market, are 100% free from controversial additives such as carrageenans and PEG. We then package this product in environmentally friendly amber glass.

Iron is an essential trace element that plays a critical role in the transport of oxygen in the blood as well as in cellular respiration, the maintenance of the immune system and normal cognitive performance. Iron is found in high amounts in legumes, meat and cereal products, although often in less bioavailable forms in the latter.
High bioavailability: combination with cofactor vitamin C
The iron that naturally occurs in curry leaves is highly bioavailable, although not as high as that normally found in animal products; plant-based iron is typically less easily absorbed by the human body than iron from meat because the phytic acid produced by iron-rich plants inhibits mineral absorption. We increased the bioavailablity of our plant-based iron through the extraction process, which breaks down the phytic acid in the curry leaves, and by combining the extract with vitamin C. The end result is a 100% plant-based iron supplement with very high bioavailability.

According to the German Nutrition Society (DGE), the official daily requirement for iron is 15mg for women and 10mg for men and individuals over the age of 51 (NRV: 14mg).

The official daily requirement for vitamin C in Germany is 80mg.
