How are we different?
Dragon's blood has long been a coveted but controversial natural product. Improper harvesting methods can cause significant damage to the trees and affect the delicate nature of the Amazon rainforest. Fortunately, this exploitation has now been largely curbed by governments and environmental protection.
Our product features only original dragon's blood from Peru, obtained using an indigenous, non-invasive method. Our supplier is a local farming initiative that has secured the management of their forests through long-term government contracts.
Our dragon's blood is of the purest and highest premium quality, obtained directly from healthy trees in one of the most vibrant and nutrient-rich rainforests on this earth. The trees grow far from all industrial agriculture and environmental toxins in the Amazon rainforest in Peru at an altitude of over 1000m. A small "V" is cut into the bark of the tree with a knife, through which the resin emerges and can be collected without loss. The resin is caught directly by hand, and the wound of the tree is sealed with soil taken from the root of the tree. In this way, the tree can heal quickly and incurs no permanent damage.
Our liquid dragon's blood resin is an unprocessed, undiluted and absolutely pure natural product. It is not an extract, but pure Sangre de Drago tree resin, without any additives or carriers.
We use amber glass jars for the packaging of this product.

Dragon's Blood, also known as Sangre de Grado (Peru) or Sangre de Drago (Ecuador), is the resin of the dragon's blood tree (Croton lechleri M.). The tree is mainly native to the Amazon region in South America (Peru, Ecuador, Colombia and Brazil).
The deep red resin is rich in phytochemicals. It is traditionally used by indigenous peoples by rubbing a few drops of the liquid resin onto the skin; a fine, whitish foam forms, which dries to a thin film on the skin within seconds.
