How are we different?
For many years, dragon's blood was a highly sought-after yet controversial natural product. Improper and reckless methods used for the harvesting of this resin can significantly damage the trees as well as the overall equilibrium of the Amazon rainforest. Through government regulation and environmental protection initiatives, however, such overexploitation has largely been curbed.
We use only sustainably harvested dragon's blood, which is sourced using indigenous methods. Our supplier is a local farmers' initiative that is committed to traditional cultivation and has secured sustainable management over their forests via long-term contracts with the government.
Our dragon's blood is of the highest quality and purity, and is sourced from healthy, thriving trees that grow in one of the richest old-growth forests on earth. The trees grow far from any industrial agriculture and sources of pollution, which means that their resin is free from contaminants. Because our dragon's blood is comprised of pure tree resin, it contains no additives or chemical extraction residues.

Dragon's Blood
Dragon's blood, also known as Sangre de Grado (Peruvian Spanish) or Sangre de Grado (Ecuadorian Spanish), is the resin of the dragon's blood tree (Croton lechleri). The deep red resin is rich in valuable phytochemicals and has been traditionally used by indigenous South American peoples to treat wounds, skin infections and upset stomachs as well as to strengthen the immune system.
Dragon's blood is rich in OPC (oligomeric proanthocyanidins), which are among the most potent antioxidants. Moreover, dragon's blood is also rich in taspine, an alkaloid that inhibits the breakdown of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine. Acetylcholine is one of the most important neurotransmitters in the human body and plays a major role in increasing alertness after waking up, maintaining focus, the learning process and the formation of memories in general.
Sustainably Sourced Dragon's Blood from Peru
Our liquid dragon's blood resin is an unprocessed, undiluted, and absolutely pure natural product. The resin is sustainably harvested by hand from wild-grown trees in pristine lands 1000m above sea level in the Peruvian Amazon rainforest, far removed from any environmental pollution.
Harvesting is performed according to traditional and sustainable indigenous methods: a small "V" is carved into the bark of the tree with a knife. The resin leaks out from the cut and can be collected without any waste. Once the resin has been caught by hand, soil from the base of the tree is rubbed into the cut to help the tree heal faster and to prevent long-term damage.
We purchase our dragon's blood directly from a local farmers' initiative that is committed to this traditional harvesting method. Their long-term and sustainable management of the forest is ensured via contractual agreement with the government.
