Douglas Fir essential oil comes from wild collection Douglas-fir essential oil comes from wild collection of the needles and twigs from natural regions of France. The fresh air, the climatic conditions as well as the soil conditions are optimal for their growth and form ideal conditions for the development of the fine aromas, such as beta-Pinene, Sabinene and Terpinolene. For the harvest, which takes place in the winter period, the fresh needle-like branches are gently harvested by hand and processed in our own distillery with steam. This special aromatic oil is obtained with passion and many years of experience.

Tanne Douglas
The Douglas fir is native to western North America. The Scottish botanist David Douglas brought the tree, whose genus was later named after Douglas, from a North American expedition to the Royal Botanic Garden in Kew near London in 1827. Since then, the Douglas fir has also been found on a large scale in Central Europe. The evergreen tree belongs to the pine family (Pinaceae) and reaches a height of 60 meters in Europe.
