How are we different?

With D-biotin, we use the naturally occurring, bioactive form of biotin, which is directly involved in protein, carbohydrate and fat metabolism. Although D-biotin can in principle also be obtained from plant sources, this process is currently not yet approved in the EU. Therefore, in this case, a synthetic D-biotin of high pharmaceutical grade (99.3% purity) is used.

The only other ingredient is premium gum arabic, cultivated without the use of plant protection products. In contrast to microcrystalline cellulose, a widely used synthetic filler often mixed with nanoparticles, gum arabic is a natural, fibre-rich food. Our fair trade gum arabic is climate neutral and is sustainably cultivated to conserve resources.

For the capsule shells we use custom-made HPMC capsules that, unlike most other HPMC and pullulan capsules on the market, are 100% free from controversial additives such as carrageenans and PEG. We then package this product in environmentally friendly amber glass.

Effects

Vitamin B7 Biotin

Biotin (vitamin B7) is one of the water-soluble B vitamins best known for its beneficial effects on the skin and hair. Biotin also plays a role in energy and macronutrient metabolism, and supports normal psychological functioning. Biotin can be found in large quantities in eggs, wild salmon, milk products, oats, nuts, avocados, raspberries, and cauliflower.

Directions

Take 1 capsule (10,000µg biotin) with 200ml water daily.

Advisory Information

Biotin is one of the eight B vitamins and is also known as vitamin B7 or H vitamin. As the vitamin is water-soluble and therefore cannot be stored in the body over a longer period of time, a sufficient daily intake of biotin is required. The official daily requirement of biotin is 30-60µg in order to avoid a deficiency (NRV: 50µg).
