How are we different?

Discover the natural power of the enzymes bromelain and papain, harmoniously combined in one capsule. Bromelain and papain are obtained from hand-harvested Indian pineapple fruits (Ananas comosus) and the milky sap of unripe papaya plants (Carica papaya). We use a standardised, gentle extraction process that only uses water. Both enzymes undergo successive filtration steps before they are finally spray-dried. Bromelain is characterised by an enzyme activity of at least 6000 FIP U per gram, while our papain achieves at least 4000 FIP U per gram. We also add 25-35% microcrystalline cellulose by volume as a carrier to make the papain easier to dose.

We use patented, gastric acid-resistant HPMC capsules (DRcaps®) as capsule shells.

Effects

Bromelain is a name for a group of protein-degrading enzymes from plants of the genus Bromeliaceae. It is found in particularly high concentrations in the stem and fruit of the pineapple plant (Ananas comosus). As proteases, they help to break down proteins and support the plant in its defence against microorganisms, insects and other pests.

Papain is an enzyme that is extracted from the papaya fruit. It is present in particularly high concentrations in the milky juice of unripe papaya fruits. As a protease, papain helps to break down proteins and supports the plant in its defence against diseases, insects and other pests.

Dosage

Recommended Dosage

Take 2 capsules on an empty stomach (1 hour before or 3 hours after eating) with 200ml of cold water daily.
