How are we different?

Our pure bromelain enzyme is obtained from the stems of hand-harvested Indian pineapple fruits (Ananas comosus) and has a high enzyme activity of at least 6000 FIP U (Fédération Internationale Pharmaceutique Unit) per gram. The enzyme is extracted using only water in a special process, whereby it undergoes various filtration steps before it is finally spray-dried.

We use patented, gastric acid-resistant HPMC capsules (DRcaps®) as capsule shells.

Effects

Bromelain is a name for a group of enzymes from plants of the genus Bromeliaceae. It is found in particularly high concentrations in the stem and fruit of the pineapple plant (Ananas comosus). As a protein-splitting enzyme, bromelain is similar to human digestive enzymes and helps the plant to defend itself against microorganisms, insects and other pests by splitting proteins.

Recommended Dosage

Take up to 3 capsules with 200ml cold water daily.
