Finest Origin - Highest Grade

The trees of this special white cypress (Callitris glaucophylla) essential oil grow in the largest federally managed white cypress reserve in the Pilliga region of north-central New South Wales, Australia. The semi-arid climate that prevails there, coupled with sandy, barren soil, offers the trees the ideal conditions for developing their special aromas and ingredients in a balanced relationship. These natural ingredients include, for example, citronellic acid, guaiol, eudesmole and bulnesol. The essential oil is obtained exclusively from the wood of wild-growing and sustainably collected white cypresses in our own distillery within 48 hours of harvest using steam distillation.

Farm

The manufacturer of this special essential oil is a small family-run business in south-east Australia, which has been producing essential oils exclusively from wild, native plants for over 25 years. It uses ethical practices throughout the production process and supports sustainable harvesting, in keeping with the delicate ecology of Australia's arid regions. The virgin essential oils are naturally distilled with gentle steam to preserve the oils' structure and integrity.

WHITE CYPRESS

The white cypress (Callitris glaucophylla) is an evergreen shrub or small tree that grows to a height of 4 to 12 meters, more rarely up to 20 meters. It belongs to the cypress family (Cupressaceae). The plant is native to mainland Australia, where it is found growing widely in regions with low rainfall and sandy soils. The blue-green to grey-green aromatic scale leaves are up to 8 mm long depending on age. The white cypress was already highly valued by the natives of Australia and found many uses due to its strengthening, beneficial properties. The aromatic wood was traditionally used to make ceremonial objects and tools.

Aroma

The balsamic resinous aroma relaxes and soothes the body and mind. It centers and pauses in the present.
