Our Vitamin D3 + K2 Gummy Bears combine a vegan Vitamin D3 from a plant-based source with its active partner, Vitamin K2. Each gummy bear contains 500 IU vitamin D3 + 15µg vitamin K2 MK-7 as all-trans. As indicated by our Sunday Natural Phoenix symbol, they are also particularly suitable for children from four years of age. Our Original K2VITAL® Vitamin K2 is one of the few active ingredients on the market that can guarantee a content of at least 99.7% of the all-trans MK-7 form. This consistently high degree of purity is ensured by a special laboratory test developed in Norway.
Our vegan Vitamin D3 + K2 Gummy Bears are made with a base of valuable fructooligosaccharides (FOS), derived from the natural inulin of the chicory root. Fructooligosaccharides, or FOS for short, belong to the group of dietary fibres. They are characterised by their mild sweetness and are associated with a range of positive properties. Among other things, they serve as a high-quality food source for beneficial Lacto- and Bifidobacteria in the gut and have a relatively low glycaemic index, which is favourable for blood sugar stability. While the use of artificial sweeteners or sugar substitutes is common in the production of vitamin gummy bears, our gummy bears are made completely without artificial sweeteners and without the additional use of sugar.
For the production, gelling agents that provide sufficient firmness and coating agents that prevent the gummy bears from sticking together are necessary. We use completely plant-based gelling agents and completely avoid animal gelatin, which is often obtained from low-quality slaughterhouse waste. The gelling and stabilising agents we use are obtained from lemon peels (pectin), red algae (agar-agar), and the root tubers of the cassava plant (tapioca starch). As a coating agent, we use plant-based carnauba wax, so our vitamin gummy bears are purely vegan. For acidity regulation, cheap citric acid is often used, which is mostly obtained with the help of moulds and genetically modified microorganisms. The use of phosphate compounds such as tricalcium phosphate is also widespread. Better alternatives are ascorbic acid (vitamin C) and citrate compounds such as sodium citrate, which are used in our vitamin gummy bears.
Our Vitamin D3 + K2 Gummy Bears are characterised by a natural, fruity raspberry flavour. Additionally, they are gluten- and soya-free.
