This wild Spanish lemon thyme grows at an altitude of 950 meters in unspoiled nature in Andalusia, Spain. In this region there is an ideal Mediterranean climate which, in addition to the seasonal temperature fluctuations, leads to a particularly concentrated and rich formation of ingredients such as linalool, terpinen-4-ol, linalyl acetate, thymol, verbenone, para-cymene in the plant. The wild plants are gently harvested by hand in May and June and processed in our own distillery. In the process, the fresh herbs are gently distilled with steam so that the fine aromas unfold in a harmonious relationship.

Our Spanish essential oil producer has been working with aromatic plants since 1996, which led to the creation of the small family business in 2004. The expertise of the company lies on the one hand in the production of essential oils from domestic plants on the other hand it obtains other oils from cooperatives worldwide. The quality and origin of the oils are therefore very well researched and documented. The native oils are either from their own controlled organic cultivation or from wild collection in the region of Andalusia. The manufacturer produces the essential oils with steam in its own distillery, in addition, its products are certified organic since 2004.
Lemon Thyme
This thyme (Thymus baeticus), also called Spanish lemon thyme because of its origin, is native along the coast of Cadiz, a province of Andalusia. The plant, which belongs to the Lamiaceae family, grows on stony, calcareous soils at elevations ranging from 30 to 1300 meters. The thyme forms whorled clusters of cream to white flowers from late spring to early summer, and grows to a height of 50 cm.
Aroma
The very aromatic, peppery-spicy aroma is invigorating and refreshing. The earthy-warm notes with a hint of clove simultaneously give a feeling of relaxation and invite you to let go.
