How are we different?

This Pterocarpus extract – as the patented brand-name raw material Silbinol® – contains the highest standardised amount of pterostilbene with a minimum content of 90%. This corresponds to a full 100mg extract with 90mg pterostilbene per capsule, extracted from the bark and heartwood of the rare Indian Kino tree (Pterocarpus marsupium) using only food-grade ethanol.

For the capsule shells we use custom-made HPMC capsules that, unlike most other HPMC and pullulan capsules on the market, are 100% free from controversial additives such as carrageenans and PEG.

Pterocarpus marsupium

 

Pterocarpus marsupium – also known as Indian Kino tree or vijayasar – is an important deciduous tree from the legume family that is native to India and the surrounding region. It plays a central role in Ayurvedic tradition, where its bark and heartwood are used and valued for their valuable polyphenols such as pterostilbene. Pterostilbene is a phytonutrient that, chemically speaking, is closely related to resveratrol. A characteristic feature of this tree is the red, tannin-rich resin ("kino") which oozes out when the tree is punctured. Extracts from the tree are now used in standardised form in food supplements, such as Silbinol®.

Directions

Take 1 capsule daily with 200ml water with a meal.
