How are we different?

Our papain is obtained from the milky sap of the unripe fruit of the papaya plant (Carica papaya) and has an enzyme activity of at least 4000 FIP U (Fédération Internationale Pharmaceutique Unit) per gram. The enzyme is extracted exclusively with water, without the use of other solvents. The papaya milk juice undergoes several filtration steps and is then spray-dried. To ensure that the papain can be dosed, 25-35% microcrystalline cellulose is added as a carrier and added to the dried enzyme.

We use patented, gastric acid-resistant HPMC capsules (DRcaps®) as capsule shells.

Effects

Papain is an enzyme that is extracted from the papaya fruit. It is present in particularly high concentrations in the milky juice of unripe papaya fruits. As a protease, papain helps to break down proteins and supports the plant in its defence against microorganisms, insects and other pests.

Dosage

Recommended Dosage

Take 2 capsules on an empty stomach (1 hour before or 3 hours after eating) with 200ml of cold water daily.
