This oregano grows in the Italian Alps and the southern Basilicata region at an altitude of 400–700m. It is sourced from Demeter-certified agriculture and is cultivated by experienced farmers according to the strictest biodynamic standards. The soil, as well as the Mediterranean temperatures and climatic influences – such as wind, sun, and rain– are responsible for the oregano's growth and the development of its valuable ingredients and aromas. The high carvacrol content (76%) is a testament to the purity and top-tier quality of this essential oil.
For the production of our oregano essential oil, the flowering herb is harvested at the peak of its maturity. The harvest is then taken to a nearby distillery, where it undergoes gentle steam distillation in compliance with the highest quality standards. Years of experience and a passion for harvesting and processing are reflected in the premium quality of this essential oil.
