How are we different?
Green propolis from Brazil is difficult to find on the market in a pure, highly concentrated extract. Typically, green propolis is diluted with alcohol and substances including other forms of propolis or it is mixed with sweeteners or flavourings. Additionally, green propolis products are often not standardised by their artepillin C content, a compound which can only be found in green propolis and which, as a natural product, can vary in concentration across batches. Certified organic propolis products are also relatively rare. Our green propolis is pure and dissolved in a plant-based, non-synthetic glycerin solution with no alcohol. By utilising a specialised extraction process, we ensure that our green propolis contains at least 5% artepillin C, polyphenols, and many other nutrients (flavonoids, phenolic acids, and polyphenolic compounds). By comparison, our green propolis extract thus contains a broader spectrum of active ingredients than generic propolis extracts.
Propolis is often mixed and stretched with other substances, propolis species as well as sweeteners and flavorings. In addition, it is rarely found in organic certified quality and usually contains alcohol for preservation or better dosage. When using glycerin instead of alcohol, make sure it is not synthetically produced.
Although our organic propolis from Brazil is called ""green"", its naturally varying color can be described as yellowish-brown. When dried, the propolis powder appears green, which is where the name comes from.
