This clary sage grows in the Piedmont region at the foot of the Italian Alps, at an altitude of 500–600m. It is sourced from Demeter-certified agriculture and is cultivated by experienced farmers according to the strictest biodynamic standards. This region offers the ideal climate, providing these sun-loving sage plants with the perfect conditions to fully develop their complex aroma and valuable compounds (such as linalyl acetate and sclareol).
For the production of our clary sage essential oil, only the flowering herb is harvested at the peak of its maturity. The blossom-rich harvest is then taken to a nearby distillery, where it undergoes gentle steam distillation in compliance with the highest quality standards.
