How are we different?

The original branded raw material Neopuntia™ is made from 100% organic nopal prickly pear leaves (Opuntia ficus-indica) and provides a purely plant-based, patented and study-supported cactus leaf powder for consuming after rich meals. The powder is produced entirely without the use of solvents by the renowned French manufacturer Nexira. The prickly pear plants are grown in Tunisia under controlled organic and optimal climatic conditions. The prickly pear leaves are carefully harvested by hand so as not to destroy the delicate plants. They are then dried at low temperatures and ground into a fine powder. The result is a 100% pure nopal prickly pear leaf powder free from additives and carriers that is standardised to over 35% lipophilic and hydrophilic functional dietary fibre.

Nexira specialises in the production of purely natural and innovative plant powders and extracts. They have a long history of partnerships with exclusive suppliers and local farmers. In addition to sustainable agriculture, their vision includes processing high-quality, raw materials provided by nature as well as focusing on the origin of the raw materials.

For the capsule shells we use custom-made HPMC capsules that, unlike most other HPMC and pullulan capsules on the market, are 100% free from controversial additives such as carrageenans and PEG. We then package this product in environmentally friendly amber glass.

Nopal Prickly Pear

The nopal prickly pear cactus (Opuntia ficus-indica), which belongs to the cactus family, is also called Indian fig. The cacti can grow into a sprawling shrub up to 6m high. It produces yellow flowers with a red ring at their base. On the blue-frosted shoots, the intensely yellow-red to violet fruit bodies (i.e., prickly pears) form, getting their colour from an abundance of phytochemicals, such as Indicaxanthin, a plant dye from the group of betalains. The fibre-rich leaves of the prickly pear cactus are botanically transformed into water-storing shoots, which have exceptionally fine hairs.

Directions

Take 4 capsules daily with 200ml of water 30-60 minutes after a rich meal.
