Matcha
Alongside Gyokuro, matcha is one of the finest Japanese green teas and is produced by finely grinding shaded tea leaves. This process ensures that the entire tea leaf is consumed when drinking matcha, thus preserving all the valuable ingredients. The production of high-quality matcha is extremely complex and culminates in the slow and gentle grinding of the tea leaves on special granite stone mills, which only produce a few grams per hour. Good matcha has an intense, sweet taste, plenty of umami and shows only minimal to no astringency even when prepared in very concentrated form (koicha).
Coconut Water Powder
Coconut water is the liquid content of the popular coconut (Cocos nucifera). Coconut water is considered to be particularly rich in electrolytes and is highly valued as an isotonic drink, especially by athletes. After harvesting the tropical fruits from organic cultivation in South Africa, they are carefully processed and ground into a fine powder. The coconuts are processed under fair conditions and are GMP-certified. Our organic coconut water powder is free from solvents, artificial flavours and added sugar. It adds a pleasantly refreshing note to our organic matcha latte in addition to the valuable ingredients.
Yacon
Our yacon powder comes from organic cultivation in the Peruvian Andes, where they grow naturally at 1000 - 3200m above sea level. The starchy, naturally sweet root tubers have been a tradition there for centuries. The yacon roots grow at untouched altitudes far away from large cities and are surrounded by typical Andean flora and fauna. To produce the yacon root powder, the hand-picked roots are carefully cleaned and gently dried. They are then ground into a fine, beige to dark yellow powder. No heat treatment takes place during the entire production process, which preserves the raw food quality of the yacon root powder. Yacon is impressive with its natural sweetness, low glycaemic index and valuable ingredients.
Lucuma
Lucuma is one of the most commonly grown fruits in Peru due to its pleasant flavour and mild sweetness. Once known as "the gold of the Incas", lucuma was a staple ingredient in the Incan diet. Lucuma is a starch-rich fruit made up of long-chain sugar molecules, known as complex carbohydrates. Metabolised more slowly than short-chain carbohydrates, these complex carbohydrates are advantageous for increasing blood sugar levels and fat burning. Our raw, organic lucuma powder is made from whole lucuma fruits grown in the Peruvian Andes at altitudes of 1500 - 3000m.
Vanilla
Our bourbon vanilla (Planifolia) comes from organic cultivation in Madagascar. After harvesting the pods, they are sorted strictly according to aroma and then carefully crushed. The result is a light, homogeneous powder with a particularly rich, intense vanilla aroma and the fruity, gentle fragrance that is typical of the pods.
Banana
Our premium banana powder is made from 100% sun-ripened, fully ripe, hand-picked and peeled bananas from certified organic cultivation in Amazonia (Brazil). After harvesting, the fruit is freeze-dried to preserve its vital nutrients. This preserves both the raw food quality and the full-bodied, naturally sweet aroma of the banana.
Guar gum
The particularly creamy texture of our matcha latte is due to the organic guar gum, which is obtained from Indian guar seeds (Cyamopsis tetragonoloba).
