Our matcha latte is a fresh and harmonious composition of the finest superfoods. For outstanding taste, optimal solubility and full plant power in a cup.
Matcha
Alongside Gyokuro, matcha is one of the finest Japanese green teas and is produced by finely grinding shaded tea leaves. This process ensures that the entire tea leaf is consumed when drinking matcha, thus preserving all the valuable ingredients. The production of high-quality matcha is extremely complex and culminates in the slow and gentle grinding of the tea leaves on special granite stone mills, which only produce a few grams per hour. Good matcha has an intense, sweet taste, plenty of umami and shows only minimal to no astringency even when prepared in very concentrated form (koicha).
Coconut Water Powder
Coconut water is the liquid found in the popular coconut (Cocos nucifera). It is considered to be particularly rich in electrolytes and is highly valued by athletes as an isotonic drink. After harvesting the tropical fruits in South Africa, they are gently processed and ground into a fine powder. The processing of the coconuts is carried out under fair conditions and is GMP-certified. Our coconut water powder is free from solvents, artificial flavours and added sugar. It complements our Matcha Latte with valuable nutrients and a pleasantly refreshing note.
Yacón
Our yacón powder comes from the Peruvian Andes, where it naturally grows at altitudes of 1000–3200m. The starchy, naturally sweet root tubers have been used traditionally for centuries. The yacón roots grow in pristine highlands far from large cities and are surrounded by the typical flora and fauna of the Andes.
To produce the yacón root powder, the hand-picked roots are carefully cleaned and gently dried. They are then ground into a fine, beige to dark yellow powder. No heat treatment is used during the entire production process, which preserves the raw quality of the yacón root powder. Yacón is impressive due to its natural sweetness, low glycaemic index and valuable nutrients.
Lucuma
Lucuma is one of the most commonly grown fruits in Peru due to its pleasant flavour and mild sweetness. Once known as "the gold of the Incas," lucuma was a staple ingredient in the Incan diet. Our lucuma powder is cultivated in the Peruvian Andes and is made from the whole fruit. As the fruit ferments quickly, it is immediately deseeded after harvesting, gently dried (less than 45°) and ground into a fine powder. Raw lucuma powder not only impresses with its natural sweetness, but also with its naturally broad spectrum of phytochemicals.
Vanilla
Our Bourbon vanilla (Planifolia) comes from Madagascar. After harvesting the pods, they are sorted strictly according to aroma and then carefully crushed. The result is a light, homogeneous powder with a particularly rich, intense vanilla aroma and the fruity, gentle fragrance that is typical of the pods.
Banana
Our premium banana powder is made from 100% sun-ripened, fully ripe, hand-picked and peeled bananas from Amazonia (Brazil). After harvesting, the fruit is freeze-dried to preserve its vital nutrients, preserving both the raw quality and the full-bodied, naturally sweet aroma.
Guar Gum
The particularly creamy texture of our Matcha Latte is due to guar gum, which is obtained from Indian guar seeds (Cyamopsis tetragonoloba).
