How are we different?
For our lycopene capsules we use LycoBeads®, an original raw material with 20% natural lycopene, gently extracted from tomato extract. Lycopene is specially microencapsulated to stabilise the compunds and protect the phytonutrient content. The lycopene is combined with açai berry powder that has been gently freeze-dried for maximum preservation of the beneficial natural substances.
For the capsule shells we use custom-made HPMC capsules that, unlike most other HPMC and pullulan capsules on the market, are 100% free from controversial additives such as carrageenans and PEG. We then package this product in environmentally friendly amber glass.

Lycopene belongs to the carotenoid family and is found in high concentrations in rose hips and tomatoes, whose scientific name, Solanum lycopersicum, gives the substance its name. Lycopene is a tetraterpene and has a red colour due to its polyene structure, which also lends tomatoes their distinctive colour.
Along with alpha- and beta-carotene, lycopene is one of the most important carotenoids, which fall under the category of secondary plant compounds. Besides tomatoes and rose hips, tomato paste and tomato juice contain particularly high amounts of lycopene. It is also found in apricots, peaches, mangoes, watermelons, berries, rose hips, pumpkins, citrus fruits and especially grapefruits.
