Glutathione (abbreviated GSH) is a tripeptide composed of the amino acids glutamic acid, cysteine and glycine. Under optimal conditions, the body can produce this important peptide itself. Glutathione is also found in its natural, reduced form in small amounts in many foods such as spinach, broccoli, melons and oranges.
Vitamin C is involved in numerous redox reactions as an antioxidant and cofactor, thus influencing numerous processes in the human body, such as energy metabolism and the immune system as well as providing antioxidative protection to cells.
