Our specially formulated homocysteine complex provides the most important nutrients for optimal homocysteine metabolism: vitamins B6, B9 (folate) and B12, plus betaine as an optimal complement to the bioactive formula.
The vitamin B6 compound is a premium active ingredient of the highest quality: the directly active vitamin B6 coenzyme pyridoxal 5'-phosphate (also known as P5P or PLP), used in all important metabolic pathways. Pyridoxine, another form of vitamin B6, has no direct biological activity unless first converted into P5P by the body.
For vitamin B9, we use the premium, patented active ingredient Magnafolate® Pro, which provides highly bioavailable, 99.9% pure L-methylfolate in the form of L-5-methyltetrahydrofolate, a directly active coenzyme with the highest bioavailability. Bound to calcium salt in a special type C crystalline form, the C crystals provide optimised solubility and absorption of the active folate. Conventional synthetic folic acid cannot be directly utilised by the body, and its conversion cannot always proceed in the body without issue, as a number of cofactors and enzymes are necessary for it to occur.
There are three natural forms of vitamin B12, each of which fulfils completely different tasks in the body and has different focal points of action. This important vitamin is included here in the form of our MH3A® formula, which contains all three natural and bioactive forms of vitamin B12 in an equal, balanced ratio of five active ingredients to achieve optimal synergy. This formula thus provides a supply of vitamin B12 as found in nature, where all three forms (methylcobalamin, hydroxocobalamin and adenosylcobalamin) are always found together, both in our bodies and in the foods we eat.
For betaine, we use our premium active ingredient TMG, which provides pure, plant-based betaine in its natural form. Derived from the botanical name of the sugar beet, Beta vulgaris, the syrup produced during beet-derived sugar production is naturally rich in betaine and other amino acids. The 100% vegan raw materials are obtained in the EU via a complex extraction process.
The only other ingredient is premium acacia fibre, cultivated without the use of plant protection products. In contrast to microcrystalline cellulose, a widely used synthetic filler often mixed with nanoparticles, gum arabic is a natural, fibre-rich food. Our fair trade acacia gum is climate neutral and is sustainably cultivated to conserve resources.
For the capsule shells we use custom-made HPMC capsules that, unlike most other HPMC and pullulan capsules on the market, are 100% free from controversial additives such as carrageenans and PEG. We then package this product in environmentally friendly amber glass.
