How are we different?
This mixture of functional sugars consists of 60% D-tagatose and 40% D-galactose. While D-tagatose and D-galactose are typically not vegan due to being obtained from lactose or whey (cow's milk), we have selected purely plant-based raw materials that are therefore 100% vegan. D-galactose is dissolved by hydrolysis of gum arabic from acacia trees; our D-tagatose is obtained from D-galactose via isomerisation. Only renewable raw materials have been used for production. Both functional sugars have a purity of at least 99.0%.
We use particularly high-quality, airtight flavour protection bags with zippers for packaging. These offer a high level of barrier protection to protect the powder from moisture and external influences in the best possible way.

Effects
Effects
D-tagatose is a monosaccharide and belongs to the group of ketohexoses with six carbon atoms; it is structurally similar to fructose. D-galactose is a monosaccharide and belongs to the group of hexoses with six carbon atoms. As a sugar, it primarily serves as a source of energy for the body's cells.
Compared to household sugar, D-galactose and D-tagatose have lower sweetening capabilities and lower calorie values. The melting point of D-galactose is around 160°C and that of D-tagatose is 130°C, making them suitable for preparing hot meals or baking.
Some key bacterial strains can utilise D-tagatose and D-galactose as food sources.
