How are we different?

For our vitamin B12 rapid spray we use bioactive methylcobalamin, which is incorporated in a nanoemulsion with a droplet size of only 20-100nm. This nanoemulsion is not to be confused with nanoparticles, which consist of assemblies of atoms or molecules. The nanoemulsion used here is similar in structure to liposomes, which also occur naturally in human cells. The special structure and the small droplet size facilitate rapid absorption and increase the bioavailability of the vitamin. In this way, vitamin B12 enters the bloodstream directly and does not have to pass through the liver first, as is the case with absorption via the intestine. In addition, intestinal absorption disorders can be avoided in this way.

Not all forms of vitamin B12 are equally effective. Conventional food supplements often only contain synthetic forms of vitamin B12. These must first be converted into the biologically active forms in the body before they can be utilised. Methylcobalamin is one of three naturally occurring, bioactive forms of vitamin B12.

The orange peel oil contained in this formulation comes from Spain and gives the Vitamin B12 Rapid Spray a fresh and pleasant flavour.

We use vitamin E (alpha-tocopherol) as an antioxidant. This is extracted in Europe from non-GMO soya beans.

Vitamin B12 (Cobalamin)

Vitamin B12 fulfils a number of important functions in the body. Among other things, it can help to reduce tiredness and fatigue and maintain a normal energy metabolism. It contributes to the normal functioning of the psyche, immune and nervous systems, supports the formation of red blood cells and is beneficial for normal homocysteine metabolism. The body also needs vitamin B12 for cell division. Vitamin B12 acts as a so-called coenzyme in the body, meaning it is necessary for certain enzymes in our body to fulfil their tasks. The associated reactions are directly dependent on vitamin B12 and cannot take place without the vitamin.

Bioactive Vitamin B12

Vitamin B12 (cobalamin) exists in various chemical forms, all of which fulfil different tasks in the body. The natural forms of vitamin B12 that are directly effective in the body are known as "bioactive coenzymes." Synthetic vitamin B12 active ingredients, such as the frequently used cyanocobalamin, on the other hand, have no direct vitamin effect and must first be converted into a usable form by the body.

The biologically active coenzyme forms of vitamin B12 in the body are called methylcobalamin and adenosylcobalamin. Both act in different places and in completely different reactions, which is why humans need both forms of vitamin B12 and can also convert them into each other. Methylcobalamin acts in the cell plasma as part of the methylation cycle, which has a far-reaching influence on various areas of health such as haematopoiesis, the psyche and the nervous system.

Sweet orange

The orange, also known as the sweet orange (Citrus sinensis), belongs to the rue family (Rutaceae) and is one of the most popular citrus fruits in the world. It originally comes from China and was spread to other parts of the world via trade routes. While the juicy flesh of the fruit is valued for its refreshing flavour and high vitamin C content, the peel of the orange also contains valuable ingredients. Orange peel oil, which is extracted from the peel by cold pressing, is rich in flavonoids and essential oils.
