Elemi

Elemi (Canarium luzonicum) is an evergreen tropical rainforest tree belonging to the Burseraceae family, the same family to which frankincense and myrrh are classified. Elemi is native to the tropical forests of the Philippines and Moluccas. The complex, aromatic essential oil is obtained from the resin through steam distillation.
