Our premium coconut sugar is sourced from certified organic production at an experienced farm in Indonesia. Coconut sugar, including its cultivation, production and usage, has a long tradition in the local culture. The coconut tree blooms the whole year in tropical climates, and thus coconut sugar can be produced throughout the year. Our coconut sugar is a purely natural product which is produced by small-holder farmers exclusively from coconut blossom nectar that is obtained from hand-picked coconut blossom daily according to traditional methods.
In contrast to scarcely nutritious industrial sugar, our coconut sugar is not refined. As a result, the sugar retains its nutritional value with minerals, vitamins and amino acids. The coconut blossom nectar is gently processed for maximum retention of these nutrients and has no additives. The sugar is produced from the dried nectar and sieved to break up large clumps and attain the desired fineness. Coconut sugar has a pleasantly mild sweetness with a caramel note.
