Lipid metabolism
Lipid metabolism, also known as fat metabolism, is the process by which fats (lipids) and lipid-like substances are absorbed from food and processed within the body. Lipid metabolism comprises the digestion, absorption, transport, utilisation and storage of fats.
Choline
Choline is a semi-essential, vitamin-like substance. Part of the body's requirement can be met through endogenous synthesis from glutamine and ornithine, while the remainder must be obtained through dietary intake. Choline contributes to normal homocysteine metabolism, the maintenance of normal liver function and normal lipid metabolism.
