The region in the southwest of Western Australia with its temperate climate offers ideal growing conditions for the development of the complex natural components, such as linalool, 1.8 cineole and α-pinene in these plants. Tea tree Rosalina
Rosalina or lavender tea tree (Melaleuca ericifolia) from the myrtle family (Myrtaceae) grows endemically in South-Eastern Australia, in the states of New South Wales, Victoria and Tasmania. There, the plant is found in coastal wetlands, hardwood forests or heathlands. The shrub or small tree with a growth height of up to 9 meters has a gray-white papery bark and dark green needle-like leaves. The aromatic white-cream, umbel-shaped flowers appear in great profusion in October and November. The essential oil has a unique scent combination of a mild tea tree oil with a lavender note. The oil pairs the relaxing, calming properties of lavender with the antibacterial agents of tea tree.
