This Rosalina tea tree (Melaleuca ericifolia) grows on plantations in far coastal landscape in the southwest of Western Australia. The manufacturer has been cultivating this tea tree species since 2002 specifically for its high linalool content and produces an essential oil that presents itself with a particularly floral note. The region in the southwest of Western Australia with its temperate climate offers ideal growing conditions for the development of the complex natural components, such as linalool, 1.8 cineole and α-pinene in these plants. The twigs and leaves are harvested in January and the essential oil is gently produced in the local distillery of this small and passionate family business.

Farm

We source this essential oil from a small family business located in southwestern Australia. Founded in 1997, the company specializes in the cultivation of native aromatic plants and the production of essential oils from these plants, while adhering to controlled and sustainable farming practices. The origin and quality of the plants and the extraction of the essential oils are very well documented. The high quality essential oil is extracted directly after harvesting on the farm in compliance with very high quality standards by gentle saturated steam distillation.

Tea tree Rosalina

Rosalina or lavender tea tree (Melaleuca ericifolia) from the myrtle family (Myrtaceae) grows endemically in southeastern Australia, in the states of New South Wales, Victoria and Tasmania. There, the plant is found in coastal wetlands, hardwood forests or heathlands. The shrub or small tree with a growth height of up to 9 meters has a gray-white papery bark and dark green needle-like leaves. The aromatic white-cream, umbel-shaped flowers appear in great profusion in October and November. The essential oil has a unique scent combination of a mild tea tree oil with a lavender note. The oil pairs the relaxing, calming properties of lavender with the antibacterial agents of tea tree.

Aroma

The fresh floral scent relaxes and calms, gives strength, supports self-love and self-confidence. At the same time, the subtle eucalyptus aroma allows you to breathe freely.
