Sweet Vernal Grass

Flouve or Sweet Vernal Grass (Anthoxanthum odoratum) belongs to the family Poaceae and is a short-lived, perennial grass native to acidic grasslands in Eurasia and North Africa. The short leaves are 3-5mm wide. The grass blooms in late spring and early summer (quite early in the season) and bears buds 4-6cm long.
