This wild sage is cultivated and processed organically at 500-800m elevation in Andalusia, Spain, by experienced farmers. The strong sunlight, winds and cold seasonal temperatures allow the sage to develop a harmonious ratio of intense aromas and components, including alpha-pinene and 1,8-cineole. Following harvest, the plant is processed via gentle steam distillation.
