This exquisite organic juniper essential oil is obtained from wild plants growing in the untouched nature of Sardinia. At altitudes of 600–800m, they are sometimes exposed to extreme temperature fluctuations, winds and drought. These climatic conditions and the barren, dry soils of the Mediterranean island offer perfect growing conditions for the plant and encourage the formation of compounds including alpha-pinene, sabinene and beta-myrcene. In November and December, small branches with berries are collected by hand then gently processed via steam distillation in the company's own distillery. This essential oil has been certified organic since 2017.

We source this natural essential oil directly from a small family business founded in Sardinia in 2010. There, the passionate operators specialise in the production of essential oils as well as natural, handmade cosmetic products, all from wild Sardinian plants. The manufacturer produces the essential oils via steam distillation in its own distillery, and its products have been certified organic since 2015.
Juniper
Juniper (Juniperus) is the largest genus of the cypress family (Cupressaceae) with 55 species. In the northern hemisphere, the common juniper (Juniperus communis) is widely distributed and often colonises barren habitats at altitudes of up to 4050m. This plant species grows expansively as a shrub or small tree with heights of up to 12m and can age up to 600 years. It has sharply pointed dark green to blue-green needles. This type of juniper is mainly found in the Northern Hemisphere in countries such as France, Macedonia and Italy. Juniper berries are often added to meat dishes as a spice to aid digestion.
Aroma
