Finest Origin - Highest Grade

Parijat, night jasmine or coral jasmine (Nyctanthes arbor-tristes) is native to the tropical regions of South Asia. Our intensely aromatic essential oil comes from natural cultivation in Daman in the middle of the mountains of the Himalayas in Nepal. The climate of this region is characterised by rainy or dry monsoon winds, depending on the season. These tropical influences provide the plants with the ideal conditions to develop their intense aroma. The fragrance of the essential oil is influenced by the natural components linalyl, benzyl acetate and linalool, among others. The flowers are collected by hand from February to March and from October to November and are freshly distilled into this essential oil.

Farm

Informed by their roots in traditional Indian medicine, Ayurveda, this family-run company was founded around 2010 in Nepal. The cooperating farms and farmers are regularly trained in controlled organic cultivation and new farms are recruited. The range of essential oils consists either of plants that are cultivated organically or from wild collections in the mountains of Nepal. The joy and passion of growing and harvesting indigenous aromatic plants and processing them in their own distilleries across the country can be perceived in the fine aromas of these oils. Most products are certified with the EU organic seal.

Parijat

Parijat, night jasmine or coral jasmine (Nyctanthes arbor-tristis) is a perennial shrub or small tree from the olive family (Oleaceae) that is native to the humid tropical climate of the Indo-Asian region. The plant can reach a height of up to 10m. During the flowering period between August and December, the bright white flowers with their orange-red center open at sunset and give off their exotic sweet scent during the night, which attracts moths and other pollinators. At sunrise, the flowers lose their radiance and fall off. In Hindu mythology, the plant with its fragrant flowers is associated with the deities Krishna and Lakshmi. In Ayurveda, Nyctanthes arbor-tristis is a valued and widely used medicinal plant. It is used in homeopathy for sciatica, arthritis, fever and as a laxative.

Aroma

The exotic, sweet fragrance enchants the senses and invites you to enjoy life. The calming aroma brings sensuality and connection.
