Finest Origin - Highest Grade

White fir essential oil comes from freshly harvested branches with needles after pure wild collection in the wild, untouched nature in the Balkans. The white fir native there unfolds its valuable ingredients in a balanced ratio here. Fresh air, strong temperature fluctuations of cold and heat, as well as the soil conditions are optimal for their growth. The branches with needles are harvested from the wild trees in the winter months and distilled with steam in the local distillery. The aromatic essential oil contains, among others, limonene, alpha-pinene and beta-pinene.

Farm

We source this essential oil from a renowned and certified producer located in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, France. The company was founded in the early 20th century and has cooperation partners worldwide, small to large farms, where the plants' origin and quality are well monitored. The essential oils are extracted on site either by gentle steam distillation in a stainless steel tank or by cold pressing. The first certified organic products date back to 2001.

WHITE FIR

The white fir Abies alba is native to Western, Southern and Central Europe. The evergreen tree from the fir genus (Abies) belongs to the pine family (Pinaceae). It reaches a height of growth of up to 50 meters and grows at altitudes of up to 2,000 meters. White firs can reach an age of 500 to 600 years. The suffix "alba" refers to the white-gray bark of the trees. The white fir has been used as a medicinal and healing plant since ancient times, and in the Middle Ages it was considered a symbol of power due to its majestic growth. It is mainly the needles, shoots, cones, seeds and resin that are used. An infusion of the fresh shoots, for example, helped against spring fatigue and bronchitis.

Aroma

The woody-spicy scent of white fir creates clarity and centeredness.
