Finest Origin - Highest Grade

The thyme plants for this special essential oil thrive in idyllic natural settings in Tuscany. Mineral soils, perfect temperatures and other climatic influences of this sunny region lead to a healthy and fully developed spectrum of valuable ingredients such as thymol and P-cymene in the plants. The aromas are present in a particularly harmonious ratio, which this essential oil perfectly reproduces. The thyme with the chemotype Thymol is cultivated by the experienced farmers controlled-biologically and harvested at the flowering time between May and June,. After sorting, the aromatic plants are distilled with the gentle process of steam distillation to this aromatic essential oil.

Farm

We purchase our natural essential oil directly from a small family business founded in 2010 in Sardinia. The passionate operators specialize in the production of Sardinian essential oil plants from wild collection and also offer a variety of essential oils and natural cosmetic products in organic quality. The manufacturer produces its essential oils with steam in its own distillery. All products are certified organic since 2015.

Thyme

Thyme belongs to the labiates family (Lamiaceae). Thyme (Thymus vulgaris) forms whorled clusters of bright purple, pink to white flowers from late spring to early summer. Originally it is found in the western Mediterranean area as far as southern Italy. Depending on the origin it forms different ingredients more strongly, therefore there are so-called chemotypes (ct.), linalool, thymol, geraniol and thujanol which are contained in the essential oil. The thyme is used in many parts of the world as a spice in the kitchen.

Aroma

The herbaceous-fresh scent has a strong cleansing and stimulating effect. The powerful aroma strengthens concentration and self-confidence, it allows to breathe freely.
