This wild saro grows endemically near the sea on the west coast of Madagascar. The plants thrive in this tropical climate on the seaside and are able to develop their special aromas and ingredients, such as 1,8-cineole and beta-phellandrene, in a harmonious ratio. The leaves are hand harvested and gently steam distilled by the experienced farmers in the local distillery. The particularly intense aroma of the plant is achieved by the slow distillation process which uses low water pressure.

This high-quality essential oil is produced by an experienced company based in Madagascar. The company manages its own plantations in Madagascar, but also owns other plantations all over the world. The plants are primarily harvested by hand using sustainable practices, and the essential oils are extracted through gentle steam distillation in a stainless steel tank. The origin and quality of the plants are well documented, and the products are certified by the French organic association Nature et Progrès.

Saro belongs to the Canellaceae family and grows endemically in dry regions of Madagascar. Growing as a shrub, it forms sturdy, glossy leaves and forms small yellow inflorescences from its branches.

With vitalising lemon notes and spicy cinnamon, saro conveys a feeling of intense relaxation and warm invigoration. The aromatic fragrance softens all tension and brings joy and confidence.
