Finest Origin

The nutmeg tree is grown in a controlled organic way on the east coast near the sea in Madagascar by the experienced farmers. In this region, the tropical as well as oceanic temperatures and weather conditions provide optimal growing conditions for the nutmeg tree. It can develop its ingredients and aromas in a harmonious ratio, such as sabinene, alpha and beta-pinene.
The fruits are gently harvested by hand by the farmers, collected and distilled in the local distillery to the aromatic essential oil.

Farm

This high-quality essential oil is produced by an experienced company based in Madagascar. The company manages its own plantations in Madagascar, but also owns other plantations all over the world. The plants are primarily harvested by hand using sustainable practices, and the essential oils are extracted through gentle steam distillation in a stainless steel tank. The origin and quality of the plants are well documented, and the products are certified by the French organic association Nature et Progrès.

NUTMEG

The nutmeg tree belongs to the nutmeg family (Myristicaceae). Its origin is believed to be in the Malay Archipelago of Southeast Asia. It is an evergreen, slender tree, which can grow up to 15m high. It produces sturdy dark green large leaves, as well as female and male flowers. The small white female flowers resemble lily of the valley. The fruit ripens in a yellow pericarp about 8mm thick. This bursts open when ripe, exposing the brown seed, the nutmeg, encased in an intense red coat.

Character

The nutty-spicy aroma of nutmeg has a strong warming, strengthening and stimulating effect.
