This natural ginger tea is made from hand-harvested, gently dried ginger. The golden yellow ginger has a spicy flavour that is invigorating yet nicely balanced.

Ginger

True ginger comprises about 60 different species and belongs to the ginger (Zingiberaceae) family. It most likely originated in India and Sri Lanka and is now cultivated in other subtropical and tropical regions. The plant can grow 50-100cm high, and forms thick stems and long, reed-like leaves, as well as flowers with yellow-red to dark purple flowers. The stem grows from the aromatic root and can reach up to 25cm in length.

Laboratory Tests

We go to great lengths to identify the finest organic tea farms across the world’s most celebrated terroirs. All our teas are sourced directly from the farmer and, with a few exceptions, are certified organic or come from pesticide-free farms. Each batch of tea for every harvest is tested for pesticides and other pollutants in an independent German lab to ensure they meet our strict quality standards as well as HACCP food safety requirements. Likewise, the regions of Japan from which we source our teas are tested for radioactivity for every harvest.
