Finest Origin - Highest Grade

Our producer has been cultivating Eucalyptus globulus trees organically at an altitude of 800m in northern Madagascar since 2006. The tropical temperatures, soil and climate conditions offer optimal growing conditions for the trees, allowing for the full development of their aromas, including 1,8-cineole, limonene and alpha-pinene. Their leaves are harvested by hand throughout July and August, after which they are processed on-site via steam distillation.

Farm

This high-quality essential oil is produced by an experienced company based in Madagascar. The company manages its own plantations in Madagascar, but also owns other plantations all over the world. The plants are primarily harvested by hand using sustainable practices, and the essential oils are extracted through gentle steam distillation in a stainless steel tank. The origin and quality of the plants are well documented, and the products are certified by the French organic association Nature et Progrès.

Eucalyptus

Eucalyptus belongs to the myrtle family (Myrtaceae) and is native to Australia and Asia. This eucalyptus, commonly known as blue gum, grows in the unspoiled nature of Madagascar and has smooth bark which peels off in bands. Old eucalyptus trees may have needle or sickle-shaped green leaves which grow up to 30cm in length. The eucalyptus blooms single white and beige-coloured flowers in the spring and summer.

Aroma

The mild, slightly sweet aroma of eucalyptus cleanses the air and facilitates deep breathing. The slight menthol note has a gently warming, cleansing and balancing effect.
