Rare Herbs

Many herbs which are commonly used in Asia and Africa for their unique properties cannot be sold as food in the EU. Although other cultures have been using these herbs for centuries, according to the Novel Food Regulation, products which were not available on the market in large quantities before 1997 may not be sold as food products in the EU. Therefore, all herbs listed here are sold only for their fragrances, for use as potpourri or for burning.

Laboratory Tests

We go to great lengths to identify the finest organic tea farms across the world’s most celebrated terroirs. All our teas are sourced directly from the farmer and, with a few exceptions, are certified organic or come from pesticide-free farms. Each batch of tea for every harvest is tested for pesticides and other pollutants in an independent German lab to ensure they meet our strict quality standards as well as HACCP food safety requirements.
