We use only non-GMO and pesticide-free milk thistle seeds sourced from small, independent farms to produce our milk thistle extract. The active ingredients are gently extracted using food grade ethanol. Our extract does not contain any acetone residues and we do not use any carriers such as maltodextrin. Our ultra-pure milk thistle extract has a standardised content of 80% silymarin, 30% of which is silibinin.
The harvest occurs yearly in autumn. The plant residues left over after extraction are used as natural fertiliser for the fields, eliminating the need for chemical fertilisers.
For the capsule shells we use custom-made HPMC capsules that, unlike most other HPMC and pullulan capsules on the market, are 100% free from controversial additives such as carrageenans and PEG. We then package this product in environmentally friendly amber glass.
