Copaiba trees, which are native to Brazil, thrive in the wild, tropical Amazon rainforest. The climate, which fluctuates in temperature and humidity, is optimal for the growth of copaiba trees, allowing them to fully develop their special compounds, including beta-caryophyllene and trans-alpha-bergamotene. The resin is gently hand-harvested from wildcrafted trees, then distilled using steam in our own distillery in France. The process of steam distillation is informed by many years of experience and meets the highest quality standards.

This essential oil is sourced from a renowned and certified producer based in Valréas in northern Provence, France. The company was founded in 1980 and owns several essential oil plantations and farms all over the world. The origin and quality of the plants are well documented. The company ensures that the highest standards are maintained and works professionally and passionately to produce excellent essential oils.

The oils are produced from freshly harvested plant materials via steam distillation. The experienced producers use a very gentle distillation method with low water pressure, which leads to the extraction of almost all the valuable plant substances. Their products are certified organic according to French EcoCert standards.

The copaiba tree, also known as copaiba balsam, belongs to the Fabaceae family, and is native to Central and South America, as well as Africa. The deciduous trees can grow up to 19m high, and their white-yellowish flowers are usually arranged in panicles. The seeds are around 1cm large.

The oil's balsamic green freshness has a relaxing and balancing effect, and promotes strengthening and grounding.
